hello all, i’m finally beginning to clear a backlog of ATMs to post to the site. I subbed for a friend’s ATM class in Encinitas back in December 2010 and she requested I teach this lesson. It was also taught in our training program. The lesson is done completely lying on the back and has very few specific “movements”. The focus is upon on reducing the extra effort of the eyes, optical nerve, and visual cortex. To download see below.

I hope you enjoy the lesson and any comments are welcome.

Hi Falk,
I wonder if you could clarify if the “downward eyelid pressure” is imaginary, or if there is an actual physiological way of doing this.
I found the lesson so informative in terms of how undifferentiated my eye movement is from my neck – especially on looking down.
Thank you,
Ron
hi ron,
i am happy to hear that you enjoyed the ATM lesson.
the answer to your question is i do not know if there is a physiological way to do this. there may be a way as surely the eyelid has a surface tension force which one may be able to increase this by using the muscles around the eyes that attach to the eyelids. but really, it probably does not matter if it is a “real” or “imaginary” pressure as what the lesson is trying to accomplish is a change in the brain – not in the eylids! I hope this helps. -Falk
